We are a small independent registered charity. We raise all our own funds!
HOW WE ARE FUNDED.
Knoxwood is completely independent, we raise our own funds through selling donated goods, recycling schemes, sponsored events, donations from our supporters etc. Our Charity Shops are our absolute lifeblood and we could not operate without them.
Every year we are taking in increasing numbers of birds and animals as other centres across the country are closing. We are picking up this shortfall on the same funds and less staff hours.
OUR
SHOPS.
Pretty much all of our income comes from our charity shops who are run by a small army of volunteers. The shops always need help and always need donations of lovely things to sell. Find out more about our shops here!
GRANTS & COMPANIES.
We receive no outside assistance from the council or any other government organisation. We are truly independent, but we absolutely couldn't manage without the support of the Three Owls Bird Sanctuary & Reserve who have sponsored a staff member for the past few years and who visit regularly with goods for us to sell and vans full of animal food! We also have generous companies and schools who fundraise and donate supplies and food.
WHAT WE NEED.
Honestly... we need regular, reliable funds. There are lots of ways you can help over on the donate and the fundraise & volunteer pages on a one off basis, but if you could spare £2 per month (or more) as a regular donation we would be overjoyed! Here's the link to get started
